Mary Anne Baylot died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at the Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 79.

Born in Amory, Miss., she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1952. Mrs. Baylot was the daughter of the late Albert Era Myatt and Mary Sue Hickman Myatt. She was a graduate of the Indianola, Miss., High School, where she was valedictorian of her class, and received her associate degree from the Sunflower Junior College in Moorhead, Miss.

Mrs. Baylot was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church and will be remembered for her volunteer work with the Vicksburg Catholic School.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert A. Baylot Sr.; two daughters, Theresa B. Graham and her husband, Paul, and Cecile B. Hesselberg and her husband, John, all of Vicksburg; five sons, Robert Baylot Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Vicksburg, Dr. James Baylot and his wife, Tommi, of Vicksburg, John David Baylot and his wife, Patricia, of Vicksburg, Stephen Baylot of Ridgeland and Marc Baylot of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baylot was predeceased by two brothers.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. P.J. Curley as celebrant. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Riles Funeral Home and Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the service. A Rosary service will begin at 6:30 tonight.

Pallbearers will be Paul Graham, John Hesselberg, Cort Casey, Tom Wride, Eric Hesselberg and John D. Baylot Jr.
