Rebecca W. Cooper died Monday, June 28, 2010, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 81.

Mrs. Cooper retired from Cooper Lighting and worked at Walgreens for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elberta Walley Williamson; her husband, Carroll Cooper; a daughter, Cheryl Monk; and siblings, including Helen Hearn.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Watson of Texas and Janice Byrd of Vicksburg; one brother, Johnny Williamson; six grandchildren, including Charles Monk whom she reared; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Bill Hanes Jr., David Hanes, Charles Monk, William Byrd, Russ Watson and Daniel Bell.
