Two families were displaced from a Grove Street apartment after a fire gutted their homes early this morning.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
Four units in buildings at 2230 and 2232 Grove St. were damaged by a “combustible-related” fire, Vicksburg Fire Department Deputy Chief for Fire Operations Mark Hales said.
Three other homes were damaged by the flames, Hales said, adding the official cause is being investigated.
Hales said fire trucks and other emergency equipment were dispatched after the call came in at 12:23 a.m.
Twelve people were provided temporary housing by the Vicksburg Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
