HERMANVILLE — Sherlia R. Johnson died Friday, June 25, 2010, at Patient’s Choice Hospice in Port Gibson. She was 57.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Green M.B. Church in Barlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara Thomas-Edwards; two brothers, Junior Sayles and Louis Sayles; and one sister, Bernice Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Johnson of Hermanville; four sons, Henry Johnson Jr., Frederick Johnson and Shanga Ali Johnson, all of Hermanville, and Jeffery Johnson of Clinton; four daughters, Tykunia Johnson and Danita Johnson, both of Hermanville, Jackie Pruy of Hazlehurst and Tanya Wilson of Port Gibson; three brothers, Robert Edwards and Brazil Sayles, both of Hermanville, and W.L. Edwards of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sisters, Dorothy Barnes and Elsie Sayles, both of Hermanville, and Hazel Dixon and Annie Mae McInnis, both of Jackson; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Lou Ella Johnson of Hermanville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Green M.B. Church with the Rev. Johnny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
