6 sentenced in Warren, Sharkey courtrooms

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• David Cornelius Bass, 33, 222 Ferguson Drive, Jackson, after pleading guilty May 20 to robbery, was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $3,322.50 in restitution, fines and court costs. Bass was arrested Jan. 6, 2008.
• Shaun Lawaine Burton, 24, 280 C Tully St., pleaded guilty to statutory rape-victim under age 14, and was sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to five years of probation, plus $2,322.50 in fines and costs. Burton was arrested in February 2005.
• Bernard Paul Fannaly, 62, 250 South First St., Ponchatoula, La., pleaded guilty to molesting a child under 16 and was sentenced by Patrick to five years of probation, plus $1,322.50 in fines and costs. Fannaly was arrested Oct. 4, 2008.
• Cornell Miles, 21, 109 Pemberton St., after pleading guilty May 24 to aggravated assault, was sentenced by Patrick to three years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $1,322.50 in fines and costs. Miles was arrested Sept. 3, 2006.
In Sharkey County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Jerris Jamar Bowie, 21, 237 Manning Road, Rolling Fork, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced by Patrick to 193 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus $4,122.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Bowie was arrested Nov. 7.
• Jimmy Moore Huff Jr., 28, 4236 Spanish Fort Road, Holly Bluff, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to complete the 18- to 24-month Cenikor Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program in Baton Rouge, followed by 24 to 30 months of probation. Huff was arrested Dec. 6, 2006, for grand larceny.
