A Warren County woman awaiting sentencing after a jury conviction three weeks ago was arrested Wednesday for growing marijuana, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Donna Bailey, 42, 715 Roy Young Road, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. at her home by deputies who were assisting the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in the case, Pace said.

She was released from the Warren County Jail at 2:05 p.m. on $5,000 bond.

Bailey was tried in June for felony aggravated assault and attempted aggravated assault, charges filed after an Oct. 11, 2008, fight with her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Steven Carlisle.

After a three-day trial, the jury convicted her of two counts of the lesser, misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Presiding Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick set sentencing for July 23.
