Quillie Womack Sr.

UTICA — Quillie Womack Sr. died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at his home. He was 78.

Mr. Womack was employed for 18 years with U.S. Rubber. He retired in 2007 as a town of Utica employee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Clara Bell Womack.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lee Hodges Womack of Utica; three daughters, Barbara Wilson and Debbie “Boo” Womack, both of Utica, and Faye Bailey of New Orleans; two sons, Quillie “Bro” Womack Jr. of Pembroke, Ky., and Kirby Womack of Norco, La.; five brothers, W.C. Womack and Mack Arthur Womack, both of Jackson, William Womack of New Orleans, Tony Womack of Denver and Earnest C. Womack of Utica; four sisters, Sarah Straihan and Cassie Womack, both of Hazlehurst, Flossie Bee Rockingham of Brookhaven and Lula Bell Wilson of Utica; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including Chris Breedlove.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Westhaven Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Michael Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Carpenter.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
