Donald Edward Brewer Sr. died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 79.

Mr. Brewer served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He owned a construction business for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wade Brewer and Dorothy Brewer McCullough; two brothers, William Brewer and David Brewer; a daughter, Sheryl Ann Brewer; and a son, Frankie Clark.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Teater Brewer of Vicksburg; three sons, Donald Brewer Jr. of Florida, Paul Brewer of Louisiana and Ben Clark; five daughters, Terry Kruse of New York, Deborah Dennis, Connie Tate, Melonie Schaffer and Theresa Lynn Lewis; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Lake Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
