JACKSON — The spoils from the New Orleans Saints’ historic run to the NFL’s Super Bowl championship were on display Monday for Central Mississippi Saints fans to see.

The Saints’ Championship Tour made its seventh stop at the Jackson Convention Center, bringing with them the Vince Lombardi Trophy, one of the most widely recognized sports trophies in the world. The Saints won their first world championship in February when they rallied to beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.

Former Saints player Michael Lewis, now a member of the team’s front office, was on hand to help Saints fans soak up some fun memories of the team’s 2009 season, when the team went a franchise-best 13-3 and earned wins over Arizona and Minnesota in the NFC playoffs.
