A University of Louisiana at Monroe dean of the pharmacy found dead in April in a Vicksburg motel room died of an intentional prescription drug overdose, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey ruled.

“It was not an accidental overdose,” said Huskey of the death of 45-year-old Greg Leader, who had been in the position since March.

Leader checked into the Riverwalk Casino Hotel on Warrenton Road alone on April 19. A co-worker told Vicksburg police that Leader had not been to work, and Monroe investigators discovered he could have been in Vicksburg, Sgt. Sandra Williams said in April.
