Services for Ida Mae “Dr. Love” Dunbar Moffett will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Triumphant Baptist Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 6 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family being present from 5 until 6.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. U.J. Moffett Jr.; her parents, Walter Sr. and Willie Mae Williams Dunbar; two brothers, Percy Shelton and Steven Williams; a granddaughter, VaShanti Washington; and a stepgrandson, Derrick Slater.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Moffett of Vicksburg; three sons, U.J. Moffett III, Michael Moffett and Christopher Moffett, all of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Beverly Slater of Vicksburg and Tiffany Moffett of Shreveport; a stepson, Richard Moore of Jackson; a brother, Walter Dunbar Jr. of Vicksburg; two sisters, Alberta Butler and Ida Mae Stimage, both of Vicksburg; two stepgrandsons; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Joyce Allen, Deloris Allen, Gladys Lane and Gloria Sweezer.

Mrs. Moffett died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 63.
