Buddy Womble

ROLLING FORK — Buddy Womble died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at his home in Rolling Fork. He was 56.

A Mississippi native, Mr. Womble had lived in Rolling Fork for the past 13 years. He was self-employed in the construction business.

He is survived by his wife, Mary S. Womble of Rolling Fork; two sons, Sammy Womble and Paige Womble, both of Booneville; four daughters, Leigh Ann Azlin and Kellie Simpson, both of Leland, and Keeley Womble and Chelsea Sherrill, both of Rolling Fork; two brothers, Cecil Womble of Belzoni and Jimmy Womble of Vicksburg; four sisters, Peggy Baxter of Tupelo, Donna Womble of Texas, Bonnie Wright of Benton, Ark., and Mary Womble, also of Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Son Flower Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Joel Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Link Cemetery in Anguilla under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Dave Duncan, Shawn Kirby, Mike Delaney, Tommy Williams, Ricky Yarbrough, Billy Nichols, Lee Simpson and Mark Azlin.
