The victim was not reported injured, Williams said

In the county, a Port Gibson man was arrested after a Warren County woman reported she was assaulted and a gun was fired in her home.

Sheriff Martin Pace said Delwin Smith, 34, 2023 Rodney Road, is accused of assaulting the woman, firing a Tech 9mm handgun into her home and possession of crack cocaine.

He said deputies found the gun and drugs when they arrived at the woman’s home at 1:30 this morning.

Pace said the woman was injured but did not require medical attention.

Smith was being held without bond pending an initial appearance in court.
