Bo and Cindy King of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Jennifer Lynne, to Justin Daniel Laxson of Jackson. Mr. Laxson is the son of Scott and Freda Laxson of Raymond.

Dr. King is the granddaughter of Otto and Grace King of Gretna, La., and the late Stella Calhoun of Vicksburg.

Mr. Laxson is the grandson of Neva Laxson and the late Dan E. Laxson of Amarillo, Texas, and Howard and Helen Dyess of Waynesboro, La.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Warren Central High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 2004.

She received a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2008.

Dr. King is a dentist at Mallory Community Health Center.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Clinton High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from Delta State University.

Mr. Laxson is employed at Trustmark National Bank.

The wedding will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
