PORT GIBSON — Arthur Barnes died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 74.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Turner Barnes of Port Gibson; two sons, Eddie Barnes of St. Louis and Keith Barnes of Dunleith, Miss.; three daughters, Akeia Barnes and Zion Barnes, both of Port Gibson, and Patricia Outlaw of Indiana; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery in Port Gibson with Thompson Funeral Home in charge.
