Porters Chapel opened the season with a split in a doubleheader, losing the first game 3-0 and winning the nightcap 8-4 against Rebul Academy on Tuesday.

Claire Mims went 2-for-2 in the second game. Savannah King doubled in the nightcap. Lindsey Collins had seven strikeouts in the opening game despite being tagged with the loss and then earned the win in the second game.
