REDWOOD — John T. Moody Sr. died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at his home. He was 75.

Mr. Moody was born in Warren County and raised in Hinds County. He was a 30-year employee of Vicksburg Ready Mix Cement Company.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee; his parents, Humphrey and Ruby Moody; and siblings.

Survivors include five daughters, Eddie Williams, Carolyn Darville and Lynda Ragan, all of Vicksburg, Bettye Moody of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Yvette Moody of Olive Branch; two sons, John T. Moody Jr. of Olympia, Wash., and Anthony Moody of Vicksburg; five sisters, Ruth Byrdsong of Nashville, Nettie Doss of Kosciusko, Laura Moody and Mary Sutton, both of Canton, and Lula Burks of Edwards; a brother, Rueben Moody of Kosciusko; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
