Rose Mary Ashley

Rose Mary Ashley died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 85.
Mrs. Ashley was born in England. She was married in 1945 and came to America in 1946. She worked as a division manager at Sears for 15 years, First Methodist Protestant Day-Care and at Valley Dry Goods. She was a member of Trinity Baptist church for some 50 plus years and was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Porters Chapel Home Demonstration and Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Martha; her husband, Charles F. Ashley; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her sons, John S. (JoAnne) Ashley and Frank M. (Brenda) Ashley, all of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Bryan Ashley, Rosemary (Joe) Haggard, Jennifer (Brian) Gray, Jill (Philip) Fields; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Lily Chaddock of England; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Trinity Baptist Church deacons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Daniel Edney, Dr. Paul Pierce III, Heritage House Nursing Home staff and Heritage House Retirement Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund or Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society.
