Tom and Faye White celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday. They were honored with a surprise party given by their children and grandchildren on Aug. 6.

The Whites were married in Vicksburg on Aug. 26, 1960. They are the parents of Michelle Bricka (Mark) of Starkville, Tom White (Shawn) of West Point, N.Y., Scott White (Anna) of Mandeville, La., Monte Redditt (Rachel) of Vicksburg and the late Laurie Ann White. They are the grandparents of Shelby Bricka Perdue (Bill) of Tucson, Ariz.; Mallory Bricka Brown (Daniel) of Seattle, Wash.; Mykela Bricka of Starkville; Zachary, Carter and Luke White of West Point; Lexie and Katie White of Mande-ville; and Emily Grace Redditt of Vicksburg.
