Mary Magdalene Moak Adams

BROOKHAVEN — Mary Magdalene Moak Adams died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Golden Living Brookmanor Center in Brookhaven. She was 83.

Mrs. Adams was born in Lincoln County to Harvey Reggie Moak and Cassie Elizabeth Wallace Moak.

She retired from Cooper Lighting Industries of Vicksburg and worked for Stahl Urban for 14 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry Pink Adams; two brothers, Esco Wallace and Walter Moak; a sister, Easter Cline; and a grandson, Howard Wesley Adams Jr.

Survivors include one son, Howard Adams of Union Church; one daughter, Charlotte Adams of Brookhaven; two brothers, Edward Moak and Zack Moak, both of Brookhaven; three sisters, Ruth McCullough of Wesson, Rachel Wallace of Clinton and Mary Beavers of Brookhaven; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Ellen Richardson of Brookhaven.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
