Bill and Lisa Bardin of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Brooke, to Robert Oren “Bo” Newton. Mr. Newton is the son of John and Cathie Newton of Vicksburg.

Miss Bardin is the granddaughter of Opal Whitenek and the late C.E. Whitenek of Madison and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Bardin of Flora.

Mr. Newton is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Bailess Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Newton, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Madison Central High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority.

Miss Bardin is territory sales manager for Windward Petroleum.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from Mississippi College.

Mr. Newton is employed in inside sales at RSC Equipment Rental.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 6, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Madison. A reception will follow at Plantation Commons in Madison.
