The engagement of Da’Quita La’Darrinette Hedrick to Kelsey Lamont Dotson Sr., both of Port Gibson, is announced today. The wedding will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Rose Hill Christian Church in Lorman. A reception will follow at Bell’s Recreation Hall in Port Gibson. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Hedrick is the daughter of DiAnn Hendrick and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell A. King of Port Gibson. She is the granddaughter of the late Clem Hedrick Jr., the late Louise Hedrick, the late Willie Alfred “Happy” Wilson and the late Mae West King, all of Port Gibson.

She is a 1997 graduate of Port Gibson High School.

Mr. Dotson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Dotson of Port Gibson. He is the grandson of the late Sylvester “S.T.” Jenkins, Bessie Jenkins, the late Eddie Thomas and Bertha Dotson, all of Port Gibson.

He is a 1994 graduate of Port Gibson High School.
