Terry Preister

Terry Preister died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Covenant Health and Rehab. He was 73.
Mr. Preister was born in Humphrey, Neb., and had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past six years. He was the son of the late John Preister and Barbara Babel Priester.
Mr. Preister was a graduate of St. Francis Catholic High School in Humphrey and Norfolk Junior College in Norfolk, Neb. He was an instructor for AT&T with 33 years of service. Mr. Preister was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepson, Brad Schroll, and two brothers, Loren and Milton Preister.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Preister, of Vicksburg; two daughters, Kim Machacek of St. Peters, Mo., and Suzie Leffers of Norfolk; two sons, Dan Preister of Moorhead, Minn., and Gary Preister of Blair, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Kayser of Putnam, Ill., and Amber Bartlett of Ottawa, Ill.; three sisters, Lois Koelzer, Carlene Vellutini and Odie Barry, all of Omaha; two brothers, Norm Preister of Omaha and Rollie Preister of Fremont, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home with Monsignor Patrick Farrell, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park.
