Ronald W. McDowell died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 70.

A native of Alabama, he had lived most of his life in Ethel, Miss., and for the past 28 years had lived in Vicksburg. He was employed in the automobile sales industry at Harreld Chevrolet Motor Co. in Canton for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann McDowell of Vicksburg; two sons, Wayne McDowell and Devin McDowell, both of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Kimberly McMillian of Valley Park; a sister, Lisa McDowell of Baton Rouge; a brother, Billy McDowell of Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Fields officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home

Pallbearers will be Randy Barnette, Fred Thompson, John Moore, Jerry Farris, Wayne Farris and Yancey Farris.
