Chuty Diane Erves died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 59.

Mrs. Erves attended Rosa A. Temple High School and Utica Junior College before graduating from Alcorn State University. She moved to Detroit, where she worked as a Kelly Girl and as secretary for Wayne State University and the United Negro College Fund. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Erves was preceded in death by her brother, Sherman Brady; her parents, Louis G. Brady and Olivia Mae Brady; and a sister, Valeria D. Thomas.

Survivors include her daughter, Megan L. Erves of Vicksburg; two nieces; five nephews; and other relatives and friends, including John Erves of Detroit and members of the Brown family.
