Darryl Wayne Matlock

TALLULAH — Darryl Wayne Matlock died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was 47.

Mr. Matlock was born in Eureka, Calif., and had lived in Tallulah for 32 years. He was a member of Meadow Grove M.B. Church and was service manager for Goldman Equipment Co. in Tallulah.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Lott Matlock of Tallulah; one son, D.J. Matlock of Tallulah; two daughters, Monica Matlock of Tallulah and Kathryn Matlock of Monroe; his mother, Karen Murphy of Tallulah; six brothers, Carl Petty, Brian Matlock, Ricky Petty, Jason Murphy and Shannon Murphy, all of Tallulah, and Rodney Petty of Nova Scotia, Canada; and three sisters, Joyce Toney and Tonya Tarver, both of Tallulah, and Cherry Moss of Jonesboro, Ark.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service.

Pallbearers will be his brothers.
