Services for George “Timber Cutting” Williams will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Hopkins officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estella Whitney and George Williams; and an aunt, Aurilla Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Williams of Vicksburg; four sons, Dewayne Williams and Jermaine Williams, both of Killeen, Texas, George Ware of Baton Rouge and Amos McMoore of Vicksburg; a daughter, Jackie Williams of Vicksburg; stepchildren, Edna Triplett, James Lee and Tracy Lee, all of Vicksburg, Antonio Lee of Moss Point and Tina Barona of Atlanta; three sisters, Thelma Thomas and Ida Mae Williams, both of Chicago, and Dorothy I. Gordon of Three Rivers, Mich.; a brother, Teddy Thomas of Iraq; grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Williams died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 73.

He was a timber-cutter.
