QUITMAN, Miss. — Services for Martha Nell Wilson Cotten will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Quitman, with the Revs. Gene Neal and Stan Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Wright’s Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cotten, 74, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Cotten was an active member of First Baptist Church, Quitman and a member of Quitman Woman’s Club. She was a former educator of 30-plus years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother affectionately known to her family and friends as Moffie.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Cotten of Quitman; sons, Jay Albritton and wife Julie of Chesapeake, Va., Eddie Cotten and wife Angela of Madison and Billy Cotten of Boston, Mass.; daughters, Michele Ricker of Clinton, Cherie Anderton and husband Gary of Vicksburg and Patricia Campbell and husband Louis of Olive Branch; brother-in-law, Joe Cotten of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brittany Ricker and Briana Ricker, Bailey Anderton and Andy Anderton, Harris, Anna Claire, Seth and Joel Albritton, Emily Cotten, Mike Campbell and wife Abby, Nick Campbell and wife Melissa; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forgotten Children’s Ministries, c/o First Baptist Church, Quitman, MS or your favorite charity.
