Mississippi Commissioner of Insurance Mike Chaney was among a group of state insurance commissioners who met with President Barack Obama and members of the Cabinet today.

Chaney discussed the sweeping health care legislation passed by Congress in March and its effects on Mississippi, public relations director Donna Cromeans said.

Chaney, a Vicksburg native, is a former state legislator who was elected to his post in 2007.
