Traffic backs up on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near the U.S. 61 South exit Tuesday evening after a five-car pile-up on the Louisiana side of the Mississippi River Bridge. One driver, Kenneth Vaughn, 41, 308 W. Craig St., Tallulah, was taken to River Region Medical Center. A hospital spokesman said he was treated and released. Delta, La., Marshal David Beckham said the wreck occurred when an 18-wheeler driven by 58-year-old Eddie Dotson of Utica hit Vaughn’s car after he changed lanes to avoid hitting another car. The collision had a ripple effect on other traffic, which was backed up for nearly two hours.
