A fight Thursday night between a South Street couple sent a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound and resulted in two arrests, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Police responded to 1301 South St. at 7:35 p.m. after reports of a shooting, and arrested Jrbreda T. Warren, 37, Stewart said. She was charged with aggravated domestic violence, he said.

Her husband, Michel Warren, 35, same address, had left the home but returned a short time later, Stewart said. Michel Warren, who had been shot in the right hip, was taken to River Region Medical Center, Stewart said. He was treated and released, said hospital spokesman Allen Karel.

Upon his release at 11:05 p.m., Michel Warren was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence for attempting to choke Jrbreda Warren, Stewart said.

This morning, Michel Warren was being held in the Issaquena County Jail, and Jrbreda Warren was in the Warren County Jail, both awaiting their initial hearings.
