Ellis and Turnbow to recite vows in Byram

The engagement of Kristen Amanda Ellis to Brian Christopher Turnbow, both of Clinton, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23, 2010, at Brookwood Byram Country Club of Byram. A reception will follow in the club’s banquet hall.
Miss Ellis, formerly of Vicksburg, is the daughter of Alisia Ellis of Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Ellis of Delta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Waldrop and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ellis, all of Vicksburg, and Bonnie Ellis of Utica.
Mr. Turnbow is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Keith of Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Turnbow of Pearl. He is the grandson of Bertha Thornton and the late Homer Thornton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Turnbow, all of Jackson.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Clinton High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and CHS band. She received an associate degree in nursing in 2008 from Holmes Community College, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Miss Ellis is a registered nurse in the Surgery Department at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Clinton High School. He was a member of 4-H Field and Stream, South-West Jackson Recreational soccer team and the Clinton Recreational soccer team.
He received an associate degree in nursing in 2007 from Hinds Community College.
Mr. Turnbow is a registered nurse/team leader in the Emergency Room at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Following a honeymoon to the Smoky Mountains, the couple will reside in Flora.
