Three metal awnings can be removed from a building at 1201 Clay St. owned by David Hughes, the Vicksburg Board of Architectural Review decided Tuesday afternoon.
Neil Brun, contractor for Hughes, told the board the awnings are in “pretty bad shape” and the windows beneath will be repaired once they are removed.
The board unanimously OK’d Hughes’ request, which was the only matter on the agenda. Board members present were Blake Teller, Thurman Nelson, Betty Bullard, Charlie Gholson and Tom Pharr.
