Services for George Banks Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen M.B. Church Cemetery, Floweree. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Banks died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 77.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita G. Banks; a brother, James King; and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Everlene Banks of Memphis; five sons, George Michael Banks Jr. of Vicksburg and Sylvester Banks, Walter Banks, Eddie Lee Banks and George Banks Jr., all of Illinois; three daughters, Georgia Ann Banks of Memphis, LeVera Haggard of Vicksburg and Shonette Banks of Naperville, Ill.; two sisters, Addie Carter of Michigan and Annie Lee Smith of Vicksburg; and one brother, Tom Carter of Florida.
