Services for George Kennedy Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh M.B. Church, 920 Green St., with the Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Kennedy died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 76.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from the military after 28 years. He also was a retired manager of the A&P grocery store. He was a member of the Tyner-Ford Post No. 213 American Legion and Shiloh M.B. Church, where he was Sunday school superintendent and deacon and served on the board of trustees.
