Two Vicksburg men were in the Issaquena County Jail this morning after being found in possession of a stolen handgun, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Jarvis Ellis, 22, 408 Poplar St., and Brendon Harper, 23, 102 Hamilton Place, were arrested at 12:10 a.m.

Police had been called to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Webb Street, to investigate reports of suspicious activity. A white Lincoln Navigator was spotted and, upon inspection, officers saw two weapons inside. One, a Jimenez 9mm, had been reported stolen June 17 from a home in the 100 block of Shady Lane, said Stewart.
