Mr. and Mrs. Luke Byrnes of Carlisle announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittney Renee, to Thomas Paul Clune. Mr. Clune is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Clune of Lorman.

Miss Byrnes is the granddaughter of Billy Byrnes of Carlisle, Darlene Emerson of Utica and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Greer.

Mr. Clune is the grandson of Marguerite Jones of Lorman and the late Paul Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clune.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Rebul Academy and a 2009 graduate of Mississippi State University.

Miss Byrnes is a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson County Elementary in Fayette.

The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of Midway Christian School. He attended Hinds Community College.

Mr. Clune is a sawyer/maintenance man at Southern Lumber Company in Hermanville.

Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. Oct. 16, 2010, at the Byrnes Family Home in Carlisle. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
