Miss Ellis, Mr. Hand to recite vows Nov. 20

The engagement of Kathryn Nicole Ellis to Adam Robert Hand, both of Brandon, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Nov. 20, 2010, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Brandon. A reception will follow at Luckett Lodge in Brandon. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Ellis is the daughter of Dr. Michael Ellis of Port Gibson and Kathryn Ellis of Brandon. She is the granddaughter of Naomi Jane Ellis and the late Nicholas Ellis of Port Gibson and Dr. Joe Pettiet and the late Iris Pettiet of Leland.

Mr. Hand is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hand of Brandon. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Fanning and the late Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Hand, all of Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of St. Aloysius High School. She attended Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

Miss Ellis is a physical therapy student in the doctoral program at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School. He attended Mississippi State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.

Mr. Hand is a medical device sales representative.
