Jack Dickerson, 1, stands ready to help his mother, Lindsey Theobald, as she builds a retaining wall in their backyard Sunday morning. “We have four children and didn’t have a backyard,” she said, “so I’m making one.” She said the hill on their property on Wisteria Drive formerly trailed to the back of the house, so she began digging it out in April — using a shovel and a wheelbarrow.
