Leonard Coffee died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 74.

Mr. Coffee was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Waterways Experiment Station with more than 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Miller Coffee; two brothers, James Coffee and Carter Coffee; and two sisters, Ruth Coffee Wellons and Rosie Coffee Bell.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Coffee of Vicksburg and Brenda Coffee of Jolleitte, Ill.; one son, Mose Warfield of Chicago; two brothers, Charles Coffey of Chicago and Melvin Coffee of Leland; one granddaughter; and other relatives and friends including Charlie Bell of Vicksburg.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
