Services for the Rev. Willie Erves Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Tree M.B. Church with the Rev. Elzie O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 7 at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Erves died Saturday Oct. 2, 2010, at Promise Hospital. He was 86.

Mr. Erves was a World War II veteran, and was pastor of Morning Star M.B. Church at Floweree and Woodland M.B. Church at Fitler. He was a member and assistant pastor of Mount Pisgah/Hickory Tree M.B., and a member of the Warren County Baptist Seminary Association.
