A Vicksburg man was in the Issaquena County Jail this morning, charged with uttering a forgery, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

DeWayne Jackson, 52, 1802 South St., was arrested on a warrant at his home just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Stewart said. He is accused of passing a stolen check for $750 at the Trustmark Bank on Halls Ferry Road.

Jackson was being held on $25,000 bond, said Stewart.
