The Warren County Homemaker Volunteers brought home awards from the Mississippi State Fair.

Winners were: Julia Blake, four blue ribbons for knitting; Elizabeth Redmon, two blue ribbons for crocheting; Ila Reeves, one blue ribbon for crocheting; Ruby Harris, blue ribbons for crocheting and basket-making; Kirstie White and Kristen White, on blue ribbon each for crocheting; Gloria Smith, red ribbon for canned peaches; and Phyllis Tingle, five blue ribbons for quilt-making, crocheting and bag-making and one red ribbon for quilt making.

The Homemaker Volunteers is a program of the Mississippi State University Extension Service. This year’s state fair was from Oct. 6 to 17 in Jackson.
