Multiple witnesses and possible suspects have been questioned in a Port Gibson man’s shooting death on Saturday, but no arrests have been made, Claiborne County Sheriff Frank Davis said today.
Eric Gusta, 27, 907 Marginal St., Port Gibson, was found dead at Club Henry Lee on Bessie Weathers Road with a gunshot wound to the head, Davis said.
“No doubt about it,” Davis said when asked if the death had been ruled homicide. Gusta’s body was found at 1:45 a.m. on the front porch of the nightclub by a group of people, said the sheriff. No weapon was found.
“From all indications, there was no argument beforehand,” said Davis. “We have questioned a lot of folks and are still gathering information to find out what happened.”
Gusta’s body was sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for an autopsy, which was expected to provide information about the weapon, Davis said.
“We are still looking for suspects,” he added. “If anybody has any information, we would appreciate it if they would call us.”
