Sadie Doris Murry Williams

CORONA, Calif. — Sadie Doris Murry Williams died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her home in Corona, Calif. She was 94.

Mrs. Williams was born in Fayette to Richard Murry and Nellie Montgomery Burgman. A caregiver, she retired in 1978 from Child and Family Services of Saginaw County. She was a member and mother of New Hope M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Tolliver Jr. and Arthur Williams; and seven siblings, Rebecca Chambers, Hattie Saunders, Andrew Murry, Hosie Houston, Emma Nealy, Lewis Murry and Joseph Burgman.

Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Tolliver-Gibbs of Corona and Alda Jean Conley of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, Luella Murry-Lockett of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her caregivers, Esther Richard, Tracy Dobbs and Addie Akins; nieces and nephews; and friends and other relatives, including Jessie Terrell of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church in Lorman with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Jessamine Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 today at Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
