On Oct. 18, The Vicksburg Post had a very nice front page article on Penny Napoli and her Four Seasons Garden Art business in Crystal Springs. My problem with this is that she is my closest competition in the ornamental concrete business.

I pay for my advertising and she gets a free headline feature article.

There are many outstanding landscapers around Vicksburg who build custom fountains and water features. Mac Ferris, Fred Kitchens, The Flower Center, Faulk’s & Watkins garden centers and others have spent their entire lives creating beautiful yards and gardens around Vicksburg and

Warren County. Many of the yards that Miriam Jabour has in her articles were designed and built by one of these landscapers, but they get little recognition.

There are many gift shops and flower centers around Vicksburg who sell garden art and ADVERTISE IN YOUR PAPER.

You need to think long and hard before you give FREE advertising to Vicksburg’s competition in the future.
