UTICA — Patricia Bryant Atwood died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 70.

Mrs. Atwood had lived in Utica for the past 20 years. A retired nurse’s aide, she was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Atwood; and her parents, Willie and Rubie Bryant.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Atwood of Tennessee, Wade Atwood of Atlanta and Stuart Atwood of Raymond; one daughter, Marylin Atwood of Georgia; a brother, Roger Bryant of Utica; a sister, Joan Hemphill of Pearl; and numerous grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Raleigh. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service.
