PORT GIBSON — Barton Belk Patterson Jr. died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at his residence. He was 76.

A lifelong resident of Port Gibson, he was a graduate of Port Gibson High School and attended Louisiana State University. He was a farmer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Rocky Springs United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Neese Patterson of Port Gibson; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Cain Butler of Vicksburg; a stepson, Donnie Cain of Vicksburg; and two stepgranddaughters, Toni Miles of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Anna Isabella Cain of Vicksburg.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson with Donnie Cain officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
