West weds Chandler in South Carolina

Neil Johnson West and Nancy Hanks Chandler were married at 5 p.m. Sept. 4, 2010, at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C. The Rev. Tim Gilliland, brother-in-law of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Hanks of Andrews, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late W.A. Nance and Juanita Nance of Leveland, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hanks of Pampa, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wade West of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maben Graham Underwood of Philadelphia, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Towner William West of Waynesboro.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were lavender and citron. Music for the ceremony was presented by Sean Driscoll, classical guitarist.

Matron of honor was Shelly Lloyd of Dallas. Philip Little of Birmingham, Ala., served as best man.

Flower girl was Sydney Harper Chandler of Dallas.

A reception followed the ceremony.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Bora Bora, French Polynesia. They will make their home in Dallas, where the groom is employed with Trinity Industries.
