A Tallulah man died Sunday afternoon when he was hit by a train on tracks running through the middle of town, police Detective Ivan Washington said.

Samuel Kyle, 30, address unavailable, was walking west on the train tracks near the Tallulah Compress and Warehouse around 3:30 p.m, when he was hit by a train traveling in the same direction, Washington said.

Washington released no other information.
